In Friday’s update from the Indiana Department of Health, another 5,181 people in the state have been diagnosed with COVID-19, which includes 44 people in Marshall County, 21 people in Pulaski County and 15 people in Starke County.
An additional 53 people in the state have died of COVID-19 from October 10 to December 16, including one person in Marshall County and one person in Pulaski County.
Thursday’s hospital census is down just six patients from Wednesday’s numbers, but it is the second decrease in as many days after a steady increase since the beginning of November.
The state’s vaccination rate is at 54.1 percent. Marshall County and Pulaski County both have a vaccination rate of 45.7 percent. Starke County’s rate is 40 percent.
