An Argos Community School Corporation senior is the 2022 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship recipient for Marshall County.
Kara Sabanski was chosen after the Lilly Scholarship Selection Committee carefully considered her academic performance, community service, work experience, leadership, school activities, an application essay, and an interview by committee members.
Marshall County Community Foundation Scholarship Committee Chair Beth Styers stated that Sabanski’s academic performance was “exceptional, and her volunteerism and community involvement were substantial.” She added that Sabanski has received several awards and recognitions throughout her high school career, and has been a very active contributor to her community.
Each Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship provides for full tuition, required fees, and a special allocation of up to $900 per year for required books and required equipment for four years of undergraduate study on a full-time basis leading to a baccalaureate degree at any eligible Indiana public or private nonprofit college or university.
