A Walkerton man was injured as a result of a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 30 near Tulip Road in Plymouth around 11:20 p.m. ET Saturday night.
Police say 35-year-old Arthur Heemer was reportedly traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes on U.S. 30 near the intersection with Tulip Road when the vehicle he was driving collided head-on with a Freightliner semi-tractor trailer driven by Erdene Bayambasuren from Chicago, Illinois. Heemer was injured and was airlifted from the scene.
An investigation into this accident continues with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department where alcohol is believed to be a factor, according to the report.
