Unemployment rates are dropping in the tri-county area.
Marshall County’s rate in October was 2.0 percent compared to 2.6 percent in September, Starke County’s unemployment rate was 2.9 percent in October compared to 3.9 percent in September, and Pulaski County’s unemployment rate was 2.1 percent in October compared to 3.0 percent in September.
Those figures are fairing better than the non-seasonally adjusted rate at 4.3 percent in the U.S. in October. Indiana’s non-seasonally adjusted rate was 2.5 percent in October.
More people are employed as Marshall County saw an increase of 44 workers. Starke County saw a decrease in 29 people who were unemployed, and Pulaski County saw a decrease of 15 unemployed residents.
