There were 17 new cases of COVID-19 reported in the tri-county area in Tuesday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health.
Another 11 people in Marshall County tested positive with COVID-19, along with four people in Starke County and two people in Pulaski County. They are among 1,440 Hoosiers who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 from October 31 to November 1.
An additional 47 people in the state have died of COVID-19 from January 24 to November 11, including one person in Starke County.
In the state’s updated school coronavirus dashboard, 1,466 new student cases have been reported, 85 new teacher cases have been reported and 151 new staff cases have been reported.
Locally, there were seven new student cases reported at Culver Community Elementary School from October 11 to October 26.
There were less than five new student cases Culver Academies, Plymouth High School, Lincoln Junior High School, Menominee Elementary School, Washington Discovery Academy, Riverside Intermediate School, Triton Junior/Senior High School, Bremen High School, John Glenn High School, Urey Middle School, and North Liberty Elementary School.
Less than five new teacher COVID-19 cases were reported at Culver Community Middle/High School and Elementary School.
Less than five new staff cases were reported at Lincoln Junior High School, Laville Junior/Senior High School, and Urey Middle School.
