There were 44 new cases of COVID-19 reported locally, including 25 cases in Marshall County, 12 cases in Starke County, and seven cases in Pulaski County, according to Monday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health. They are among 2,960 newly diagnosed residents in the state.
Two additional Hoosiers have died of COVID-19.
The number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 symptoms continues to grow. Monday’s census on the Indiana Department of Health’s coronavirus dashboard was at 2,012 which is 248 more patients than one week ago.
In the updated school coronavirus dashboard, another 1,963 students in the state were diagnosed with COVID-19 from August 22 to November 26. There were 141 additional teacher COVID-19 cases from October 20 to November 26, and 180 additional staff cases in the state from September 20 to November 25.
Locally, there were nine new student cases at Triton Community Junior/Senior High School from October 28 to November 22, and five new student COVID-19 cases at Menominee Elementary School.
There were less than five student COVID-19 cases at Culver Community Middle/High School, Culver Community Elementary School, Riverside Intermediate Academy, Washington Discovery Academy, Bremen High School, Bremen Elementary/Middle School, LaVille Elementary School, John Glenn High School, Urey Middle School, and North Liberty Elementary School.
There were less than five staff cases at Riverside Intermediate Academy. Bremen Elementary/Middle School, and LaVille Elementary School.
