This week is Community Foundation Week. The Marshall County Community Foundation is recognizing generous foundations, businesses and individuals who give their time, talent, and treasure to improve life in Marshall County and throughout the state.
Marshall County Community Foundation officials say many Community Foundations in the state, corporate social investors, and countless generous individuals were first responders during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Marshall County Community Foundation team members joined with the Crossroads team and the United Way of Marshall County to provide COVID-19 Rapid Response Grants to help local families struggling to afford food, housing, and utilities during the height of the pandemic.
Generous individuals and businesses provide funding for innovative solutions in the way of Community Fund grants to supporting area students with scholarships. The Marshall County Community Foundation had 383 funds available to assist the community in a variety of matters.
