Marshall County Community Corrections has partnered with Goodwill Industries to provide clothing and other items to individuals who are being released from incarceration.
Goodwill Industries provided a dollar-for-dollar match for gift cards to give clients. The gift cards will give them a chance to start over with clothing and other necessities as they reintegrate into the community. Community Corrections Director Ward Byers said individuals who may be incarcerated in jail or prison often do not have any possessions upon release.
Byers added that the gift cards will be used as an incentive to clients who show progress in an effort to “exhibit pro-social behavior and activities”.
