The John Glenn School Board members opened a public hearing Tuesday night to take comments on the proposed superintendent contract.
The contract would be for five years. For 2021, the superintendent would receive a basic salary of $124,300, and it would increase to $125,075 for years 2022 through 2026, but with the same raise the teachers would receive in any of those years.
The board would contribute to the cost of health, dental and vision insurance, long-term disability insurance, term life insurance, Indiana State Teacher’s Retirement Fund, tax-sheltered annuity, and mileage. The superintendent would also have 15 days of paid time off, 11 sick days, and five days of continuing education each year.
There were no public comments given during the hearing.
The contract will be formally approved at an upcoming meeting.
