Marshall, Starke and Pulaski Counties remain in the orange status on the Indiana Department of Health’s updated County Metrics Map. The orange status indicates a high spread of COVID-19.
Eleven counties in the state are in the red status this week while eight counties are in the yellow status. The rest of the counties are in the orange status.
There were 4,070 new cases of COVID-19 from November 20 to November 23 in Wednesday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health. There were 54 new cases in Marshall County, 17 new cases in Starke County and 11 new cases in Pulaski County.
Another 17 people in the state have died of COVID-19 from November 20 to November 23.
In the updated long-term care facility report, there were no new resident cases of COVID-19 in the state, but 18 newly reported resident deaths from September 10 to November 23.
The COVID-19 vaccine is free to residents 12 and older. The pediatric COVID-19 vaccine is available for free to children ages 5 to 11. Booster doses are also available for eligible residents. More information on vaccines and vaccination sites can be found at www.ourshot.in.gov or by calling 211.
