Holiday Traditions Continue in Marshall County Communities

The communities in Marshall County are hosting holiday traditions once again this season. 

The Town of Bremen will unveil holiday lights Wednesday, November 24 at 6:30 p.m. ET in the downtown area.  A lucky third grade essay winner will help flip the switch to officially usher in the holiday season in Bremen. 

The Town of Argos will host the Turkey Trot and Gobble Wobble 5K fun run and walk event at the Argos Community Park Thursday, November 25 at 8:30 a.m. ET.  The entry free is a non-perishable food item.  Meanwhile, the Christmas in the Park event is Saturday, December 11 at Argos Community Park.  The drive-thru experience begins at 6 p.m. and ends at 7:30 p.m. ET. 

The annual Holiday Parade of Lights and Christmas tree lighting in Plymouth is Saturday, November 27 at 6 p.m. ET with a parade down Michigan Street from Adams Street.  Applications are being taken now. The theme for the parade this year is “Winter Wonderland”.  Cookies and hot chocolate will be served in River Park Square where the tree will be lit.  The Plymouth Park Department will also unveil the music and light show and Santa will visit with children at the park. 

The Town of Bourbon will have the Christmas tree lighting Saturday, November 27 at 6 p.m. ET. Santa will arrive on a fire truck to help light the tree and meet with children.  The Triton Swing Choir will accompany the event with festive music, and carriage rides will be available through town. 

The Town of Culver will have a few events to help residents get in the holiday spirit Friday, December 3.  Cookie decorating will start at 6 p.m. that day at the train depot, followed by the community tree lighting at 6:45 p.m.  The parade will begin its way down Lakeshore Drive to Main Street at 7 p.m.  (lineup at 6:15 p.m. ET), with Christmas caroling around town at 7:30 p.m. ET and a chance to meet Santa.  The parade registration form can be found here.
