A groundbreaking ceremony is set for today at 11 a.m. ET to celebrate a new housing subdivision in Argos.
The Deerfield Meadows Subdivision is located on Kenilworth south of 17th Road in Argos and will feature lots for 32 single-family housing units on 21 acres of land.
Town officials have been working to get everything ready for the new addition with creating a housing TIF district for the area. The Argos Town Council members approved a plat for Deerfield Meadows during their most recent meeting.
Officials hope that work can begin yet this year or in early 2022.
