The Bourbon Town Council members will host a groundbreaking ceremony for the sewer project Wednesday, November 17 at 3 p.m. ET at the Bourbon Street Department at 409 E. Center Street.
As part of the project, the south lift station pumps will be replaced and the east lift station will be abandoned for the installation of a wet well with new pumps and controls. The second phase of the sewer project involves slip lining sewer pipes to extend the life of the infrastructure which is complete.
Haskins Underground is the contractor of the lift station project after submitting the lowest responsible bid of $586,000. The town’s match will be $243,000.
