Several improvement and upgrade projects are proposed in an engineering and architectural study for the Argos Community School Corporation.
Superintendent Ned Speicher said that no action taken during last week’s meeting but the board members are considering several projects that could begin next year.
“We have some drainage issues in our parking lots and in our soccer stadium,” Speicher explained. “We’re looking at some improvements to our cafeteria, and then we’re looking at some carpet replacement, upgrading classrooms, upgrading locker rooms, some heating and air units on the roof need to be replaced – so basic maintaining and upgrading of the school district.”
He noted that the school board should be able to move forward with potential projects that can be done by carpet cleaning st louis with no impact to the tax rate.
Speicher continued, “Argos is in a very good position where we are paying off some debt. We can address these issues without having any tax increase impact to our school district. We can fix up the building and not have to increase taxes so we sort of see that as a win-win as we plan for the future.”
The board will be discussing project costs and forward movement of projects in future school board meetings
