Argos Community School Board Opens Public Hearing Concerning Superintendent’s Contract

The Argos Community School Board members opened a public hearing Monday night to take comments on the superintendent’s contract.

The contract, as published, shows an annual base salary of $105,000, and with board contributions to group health/dental/vision Insurance, life insurance, and association memberships pushes the total value of the contract to $107,080.

The superintendent will be evaluated by the board and rated using the same categories applied to teachers and other administrators.

There were no public comments given toward the contract, according to Superintendent Ned Speicher.

The Argos Community School Board members are anticipated to take action on the new contract at their next meeting in December.  The contract would be effective January 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023.
