Marshall County Highway Department crews are monitoring several roads with high water from recent heavy rains.
The following roads are closed: 7th and Jarrah, 7th and King, 4th and Grape, 5th and Hawthorn, 5th and Gumwood, Gumwood from 5B to 6th, Hickory from 7B to 7th, Cedar from 6th to 7th, 8th from Hickory to Grape, 8th and Iris, and 8A and Hawthorn.
Drivers should aware of high water in the areas of Gumwood between 15B to State Road 10; 7th and Ironwood; Ironwood and 6B; Chestnut; Cedar at 9B, 8th, 7th ; Cedar from 5th to 6th; Redwood and 15B; Beech at 9B and 10B; 9th and Fir; Fir and 8th; 19B from Elm to Fir; Fir and 17B; 3B and Cedar; 5th between Cedar and Beech; 8th west of State Road 331; Hickory south of 12B; 8A from Fir to Elm; Filbert south of 12B; Ironwood at 18th and 20th; King north of 11th; 16C west of Redwood; Gumwood north of 8th, Oak north of 3rd.
Marshall County EMA Director Clyde Avery indicated that the Yellow River is currently at 10.71 feet and is forecast to crest at 13 feet on Wednesday which is in the minor flood stage. The Tippecanoe River is currently at 10.5 feet and is forecast to crest at 12.3 feet early Thursday morning which is in the minor flood stage.
