The Triton Community School Board members took action Monday night to ratify the Master Teacher Contract as previously negotiated.
Superintendent Jeremy Riffle said the teachers will receive an increase.
Riffle explained, “They got a $4,000 increase. We actually got our starting teacher salary up to $40,000 which was in response to the Higher Education Commission’s report that was done and some research done to try to continue to increase teacher salaries. Those teachers that were actually on contract the year before actually get another $1,000 and that’s a stipend. So, it’s a total of a $5,000 increase for teachers that have already been here.”
Riffle noted that the administrators received a percentage raise that is comparable to the teacher’s increases, as approved by the board.
