Trick-or-treating is scheduled over the course of two days in the Marshall County area and police urge parents and children to be safe.
The City of Plymouth is hosting a trunk-or-treat event at River Park Square from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. ET. Prior to the event a costume contest will take place downtown with dog costume judging at 1:45 p.m. ET, adult costume judging at 2 p.m., followed by children’s categories.
Trick-or-treating in the communities of Bourbon and Bremen will be Saturday, October 30 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., while trick-or-treating in Argos is from 5p.m. to 8 p.m. that day.
The communities of Plymouth, Culver and Lapaz will have trick-or-treating Sunday, October 31 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. ET.
Troopers from the Indiana State Police ask parents to ensure children have a flashlight, glow stick, or reflective material on their costume so they can be seen clearly.
Children should always be accompanied by an adult or use a buddy system. Have a plan if groups get separated. It is recommended that children trick-or-treat at homes that have an outdoor light on. They should never enter the home of a stranger. Treats should be inspected by adults before being consumed.
Drivers should slow down and travel with caution during trick-or-treat hours.
