The Plymouth Police Department was called to the scene of an accident where officers say a pedestrian was struck by a car and died early Monday morning.
An investigation reportedly found that a 2017 Jeep, operated by 24-year-old Andrea Finley of Plymouth, was eastbound around 1720 W. Lake Ave. (State Road 17) in Plymouth near the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center when the vehicle struck a pedestrian walking in the roadway, according to the report. Police say the pedestrian, 58-year-old Roy McCarty, of Knox, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Plymouth Police Department was assisted at the scene by Plymouth Fire/EMS, Marshall County Sheriff’s Department and the Marshall County Coroner.
