High water has caused the cancellation of the Plymouth Park Department’s Haunted Grounds for this Halloween.
Park Department officials made the announcement on Facebook Tuesday after finding the Greenway Trail location under water. The trail is used as a tram route and with more rain in the forecast the water will not recede in time for the event Thursday evening.
The staff made the decision to cancel the event as another location could not be found in time that could accommodate the features of the Haunted Grounds.
However, park officials will be handing out candy, hot chocolate and popcorn at the Trunk or Treat event at River Park Square in Plymouth Saturday, October 30 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. ET.
