The number of new COVID-19 cases in the tri-county area remains in the double digits, according to Tuesday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health.
Out of the 2,130 newly reported cases in the state from October 1 to October 4, Marshall County had 12 new cases, Starke County had 11 new cases, and Pulaski County had four new cases.
Another 69 people in the state have died of COVID-19 from September 21 to October 4, including one person from Pulaski County.
The COVID-19 vaccine is free to residents age 12 and older. To find a vaccination site, visit www.ourshot.in.gov. The Pfizer booster shot is available for those over the age of 65, have an underlying medical condition, are immunocompromised, reside in a long-term care facility, or are a frontline worker. The booster shot is only available to those who have completed the Pfizer series of vaccines and after six months from receiving the second dose of that particular vaccine.
