Marshall County Public Health Nurse Lisa Letsinger is soon leaving the department to “pass the torch” to a new person to assist Marshall County with health needs.
Letsinger told MAX 98.3 FM News that she will likely contract with the county to assist with immunizations and other needs, however she is soon stepping away from administration duties.
She said she loves public health, but she is putting faith and family higher on the priority list when it comes to every day life.
The past two years have been a challenge for her department. She said she never thought that she would help guide the county through a global pandemic. She will assist as it continues, but in a smaller role.
Letsinger hopes that a nursing professional comes forward to move the county in a healthy direction with public health and who has a vested interest in the county.
Letsinger thanks the Marshall County Commissioners, Marshall County Council and Marshall County Public Health Officer Dr. Byron Holm, and the Health Department staff for their support, especially through the pandemic, along with the general public.
The job listing is posted on Marshall County’s website.
