Starke County remains in the red status on the updated Indiana Department of Health’s County Metrics Map which indicates a very high spread of COVID-19. Starke County is one of four counties in the state in the red status. Marshall County and Pulaski County remain in the orange status on the map which indicates a high community spread of COVID-19.
There were 2,023 more people statewide diagnosed with COVID-19, according to Wednesday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health. That update includes 37 people in Marshall County, 15 people in Starke County and 11 people in Pulaski County who have been diagnosed with COVID-19.
Another 51 people in the state have died of COVID-19, including one person in Marshall County, one person in Starke County and one person in Pulaski County.
The long-term care facility update shows 113 newly verified resident cases in the state from January 13 to October 12 and 32 new resident deaths verified from September 9 to October 18. There were less than five new resident cases reported at Pilgrim Manor and Miller’s Merry Manor in Plymouth and less than five resident deaths at Miller’s Merry Manor in Plymouth.
