Indiana Department of Health Updates County Metrics Map

Marshall, Starke and Pulaski Counties are in the orange status on the updated Indiana Department of Health’s County Metrics Map.  The orange status indicates a high community spread of COVID-19. 

There are eight counties in the red status and eight counties in the yellow status, including La Porte County.  The rest of the state is in the orange status. 

Another 2,675 people in the state have been diagnosed with COVID-19, with 22 people in Marshall County, 20 people in Starke County and seven people in Pulaski County, according to Wednesday’s update from the Indiana Department of Health.

An additional 72 people in the state have died of COVID-19 from January 25 to October 5. 

The weekly long-term care facility update shows 141 new resident cases and 22 new resident deaths in the state, of which none were reported locally.
