Indiana Department of Health to Offer Booster Doses of Moderna and Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 Vaccines

Indiana Department of Health officials will begin offering booster doses of Moderna and Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines to eligible Hoosiers, in addition to the Pfizer booster.

Those who are 65 years of age and older, and those 18 and older who live in long-term care settings, have underlying medical conditions, or live in high-risk settings are eligible to receive a Moderna booster dose at least six months or more after their initial series of vaccines.

Residents who have gotten the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine may get a booster two or more months after the single shot under the same eligibility criteria.

Eligible individuals may choose which vaccine they receive as a booster dose.

State Health Commissioner Dr. Kristina Box says COVID-19 vaccines “continue to provide strong protections against severe illness and death.”

To obtain a booster dose, visit www.ourshot.in.gov or call 211.  Hoosiers will be asked to attest that they meet eligibility requirements in order to receive the booster shot, as set forth in the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA).
