Marshall County Highway Department crews have identified several roads with high water throughout the county.
Drivers should aware of high water in the areas of Gumwood between 15B to State Road 10 (this road is closed), 7th and Ironwood, Ironwood and 6B, Chestnut, Cedar, Redwood and 15B, Beech, 9th and Fir, Fir and 8th, 19B from Elm to Fir, 4th east of Quince, Fir and 17B, Queen north of Teegarden, 1st east and west of Oak, 3B and Cedar, 5th between Cedar and Beech, 8th west of State Road 331, Hickory south of 12B, 8A from Fir to Elm, and Filbert south of 12B.
Additionally, all lanes of State Road 10 between U.S. 31 and State Road 331 are closed due to high water.
Marshall County Emergency Management Agency Director Clyde Avery noted that the Yellow River is at eight feet and is forecast to crest at the minor flood stage of 13.5 feet by early Wednesday morning. At that point, some flooding occurs near the Jefferson Street Bridge in Plymouth.
The Tippecanoe River is at eight feet and is forecast to hit the action stage at 10.8 feet by Friday.
Avery added that ditches, creeks, retention ponds, and low lying areas are also seeing significant increases in water levels.
