Forty-three New COVID-19 Cases Reported Locally

Another 2,644 people in the state have been diagnosed with COVID-19, including 28 people in Marshall County, nine people in Starke County and six people in Pulaski County, according to Thursday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health. 

An additional 78 COVID-19 deaths have been reported to the state from September 6 to October 13 which includes one person from Marshall County and one person from Pulaski County.

The total number of breakthrough cases increased this week to 48,676 with 1,042 breakthrough hospitalizations and 485 deaths.   

The state’s vaccination rate is up to 56.6 percent, or about 3.3 million residents.
