Another 22 people in Starke County have been diagnosed with COVID-19, according to Friday’s update from the Indiana Department of Health. There were 14 more people in Marshall County and five more people in Pulaski County who were also diagnosed with COVID-19. They are among 3,218 new positive cases in the state.
Another 28 people statewide have died of COVID-19 from September 22 to September 30.
The number of COVID-19 hospitalizations is decreasing. The Indiana Department of Health’s coronavirus website shows 2,007 COVID-19 patients in hospitals around the state as of Friday, compared to 2,225 last Friday.
The Indiana Department of Health Strike Team will be in Pulaski County today and Saturday from Noon to 8 p.m. ET at the Winamac Knights of Columbus to offer free COVID-19 testing and vaccinations to residents.
Rapid antigen and PCR testing are available with no appointments necessary. The Pfizer and Johnson and Johnson vaccines will be available. The Pfizer vaccine can be administered to children between the ages of 12 and 17.
