More COVID-19 cases have been reported in the tri-county area.
Marshall County had 28 new COVID-19 cases, Starke County had 16 new cases and Pulaski County had six new cases in Thursday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health. They were among 2,062 new cases statewide.
Another 20 Hoosiers have died of COVID-19.
The number of breakthrough cases remains unchanged from last week at 52,484, with 1,097 breakthrough hospitalizations and 531 breakthrough deaths.

Booster doses of the Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines are available to Hoosiers that meet tain eligibility requirement. Residents who are 65 years of age and older, and those 18 and older who live in long-term care settings, have underlying medical conditions, or live in high-risk settings are eligible to receive a booster dose at least six months or more after their initial series of Moderna or Pfizer vaccines.
Residents who have gotten the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine may get a booster two or more months after the single shot under the same eligibility criteria.
Eligible individuals may choose which vaccine they receive as a booster dose.
