Bremen School Board Approves 2022 Budget

The Bremen School Board members reviewed documents Wednesday night pertaining to the approval of the 2022 budget, Capital Projects Plan and Bus Replacement Plan. 

According to the notice on the state’s Gateway portal, the Referendum Fund is $351,444, the Debt Service Fund is nearly $1.4 million, School Pension Debt is estimated at $132,714, the Education Fund is about $9.5 million, and the Operations Fund is about $4.3 million.  The total budget is advertised at about $15.8 million. 

The Bus Replacement Plan shows there is one bus to be purchased this year and two buses for each of the years between 2022 and 2024, and one new bus in 2025.

The Capital Projects Plan shows projects that total over $10,000 over the next three years. Maintenance equipment is listed, as well as parking lot resurfacing, sidewalk repairs and other infrastructure repairs, and facility repairs and renovations over the next three years.

The board members did take action to approve resolutions that adopted the 2022 budget, Capital Projects Plan and Bus Replacement Plan.
