Two people were arrested Tuesday, September 7 after a traffic stop in the area of U.S. 31 and 4A Road in Plymouth.
A deputy with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department stopped the vehicle at 8:17 p.m. ET and K9 Officer Diesel was deployed to conduct a free air sniff of the vehicle. Police say K9 Diesel alerted to the presence of narcotics. Upon a search of the vehicle, officers found suspected ecstasy, controlled substances, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia, according to the report.
Police took 58-year-old Tamara Kirby of Kewanna and 42-year-old Charlene Langley of Rochester into custody. While at the Marshall County Jail, officers allegedly found methamphetamine on Kirby’s person.
Kirby was booked on preliminary charges of possession of less than five grams of methamphetamine, cocaine or a narcotic drug, basics marijuana and paraphernalia. Langley was booked on preliminary charges of possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug, controlled substances and marijuana.
Suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
