Twenty New COVID-19 Cases Reported Locally

There were 2,863 new cases of COVID-19 in Tuesday’s update from the Indiana Department of Health with eight new cases in Marshall County, seven new cases in Starke County and five new cases in Pulaski County. 

There were no new deaths reported Tuesday from information collected Monday.

The school dashboard shows 6,322 new student COVID-19 cases in the state, 338 new teacher cases and 488 new staff positive cases. 

Locally, less than five student COVID-19 cases have been reported at Culver Community Middle/High School, Plymouth High School, Lincoln Junior High School, Jefferson Elementary School, Menominee Elementary School, LaVille Elementary School, and Walkerton Elementary School.

Fifteen new student cases of COVID-19 were reported at LaVille Junior/Senior High School, 10 cases at North Liberty Elementary School, nine new cases at Bremen High School, and eight new student cases at Bremen Elementary/Middle School. 

Less than five teacher COVID-19 cases have been reported at Jefferson Elementary School and Walkerton Elementary School.  Less than five staff COVID-19 cases were reported at Walkerton Elementary School.

The COVID-19 vaccine is free to residents 12 and older.  To find the nearest vaccination site, visit www.ourshot.in.gov.  Nearly 6.3 million doses of the vaccine have been administered in Indiana.  Over 3.1 million residents are fully vaccinated.
