Two people in Marshall County and one person in Starke County have recently passed away due to COVID-19, according to Tuesday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health. They are among 91 new deaths reported by the state from August 29 to September 13.
Another 3,580 people in the state have tested positive with COVID-19 with 17 new COVID-19 cases in Marshall County, 13 new cases in Starke County and four cases in Pulaski County.
The COVID-19 vaccine is available to residents 12 and older. The nearest vaccination clinic can be found at www.ourshot.in.gov or by calling 211. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are accepted at most sites.
Over 6.3 million doses of the vaccine have been administered to individuals in Indiana while 3.1 million people are fully vaccinated. The vaccination rate in Marshall County is 46.1 percent, while it is 45.5 percent in Pulaski County and 39.8 percent in Starke County.
