Plymouth Park Board Takes Public Comments on Five-Year Plan

Several residents presented comments on ideas for the Plymouth Park Board’s next five-year plan during the board’s meeting Tuesday night.

The plan is due by January 15.  The submission of the plan allows the park board to have goals for the next five years in addition to the ability to apply for certain grants for projects.

Park Superintendent Michael Hite said individual pickleball courts were proposed, as well as additional baseball diamonds, trails, and improvements to the pool.  He noted that other ideas from a previous public meeting will be gathered for a park board subcommittee to review and potentially include in the five-year plan.  A draft of the plan should be ready in the next month or so.

As for other business, Hite said the Blueberry Festival was a great success and park personnel are addressing normal wear and tear on the grounds as commonly experienced during the festival.
