A moped driver was injured in a two-vehicle accident Monday morning in Marshall County.
Police say Timothy Sousley of Plymouth was traveling north on Michigan Road north of 1st Road in Lapaz just before 7 a.m. ET when he struck the rear of a moped riding in the middle of the right hand driving lane. Sousley reportedly told Marshall County Sheriff’s Department deputies that he did not see rear tail lights on the moped and did not see the moped until the two vehicles collided, according to the report.
The 16-year-old driver of the moped was transported to a South Bend hospital for injuries sustained in the accident.
