Crews from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department have completed single chip and seal and triple chip and seal work. They completed 70 miles of single chip and seal work and 12 miles of triple chip and seal operations. They have now moved to paving operations with the department’s pug mill.
Peters said Community Crossings paving should begin sometime this month by paver installation contractors as workers from Milestone Contractors North experienced a slight delay on work on previous job sites.
The Community Crossings projects include the resurfacing of Sycamore from U.S. 6 to 4B, 2C (3A Road) from East Shore to Plymouth-Goshen Trail, West Shore from the Culver Town Limits to South Shore, South Shore from West Shore to Venetian Village Road, South Shore from Venetian Village Road to 20B, Muckshaw Road from 13th to 14th, and Michigan Road from U.S. 31 to Argos Town Limits.
The contracted crews will also work on additional paving projects as agreed upon which include 14th from Muckshaw to U.S. 31, 3rd (North Shore) from West Shore to 3A, Pretty Lake Trail from Quince to State Road 17, Quince from State Road 17 to Pretty Lake Drive to Queen, Sage from West Shore to State Road 110 and East Shore from 3A to West Shore.
