Marshall County Health Administrator Faith Chapman asked the Marshall County Commissioners last week for permission to apply for two grants.
She explained that she is applying for the Local Health Maintenance Grant and the Local Trust Accountability Grant. They are annual grants from the Indiana Department of Health.
Chapman said the grant salaries of the health educator, emergency preparedness and a portion of Social Security is paid through these grants. The leased vehicle is supported with the Health Trust Accountability Grant.
The Health Maintenance Grant is in the amount of $33,139 and the Trust Accountability Grant is in the amount of $24,129.72.
The commissioners unanimously approved the grant application request. The Marshall County Council also unanimously approved the same request Monday morning during their regular public meeting.
