The tri-county area remains in the orange status, or high community spread of COVID-19, according to Wednesday’s updated Indiana Department of Health’s County Metrics Map.
Twenty-two counties are in the red status which indicate a very high community spread of COVID-19 while Porter County is the only county in the yellow status which indicates a moderate spread of COVID-19. The rest of the state is in the orange status.
The updates are determined from the previous week’s statistics.
Another 4,733 Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 with 52 new cases in Marshall County, 21 new cases in Starke County and 31 new cases in Pulaski County.
An additional 68 people in the state have died from COVID-19 from August 21 to September 14, including one person in Marshall County.
In the weekly long-term care facility update, another 121 residents have tested positive with COVID-19 from November 25, 2020 to September 7 and 30 new deaths from August 10 to September 13.
