Falloween Fest at John Glenn High School Begins Today!

The Falloween Fest at John Glenn High School in Walkerton begins today at 4 p.m. ET at the campus on John Glenn Drive.

The three-day event features food, carnival and rides, Farmer’s Market, art show, breakout escape rooms, FFA mum sale, and a lot more.

Food will be sold at 4 p.m. today from various organizations with the grand parade beginning at 5:15 p.m.  The softball tournament is at 6:30 p.m. and the high school football game is at 7 p.m.  The midway will close at 10:30 p.m. 

Saturday’s events include the fun run at 9 a.m., Old Timers Homerun Derby at 9 a.m., 5K Run at 9:30 a.m., Old Timers Baseball games at 10 a.m. and Noon, craft vendors fair at 10 a.m., a giant garage sale at the east garage beginning at 11:30 a.m., a magic show at 1:30 p.m., bingo at 2 p.m., fish fry at 4 p.m., entertainment by the Steve Foresman Band at 5 p.m., the Falloween Follies Variety Show at 7 p.m., Whistle Pigs band at 7:30 p.m. and the fireworks spectacular at 9:30 p.m. ET.

The softball tournament continues Sunday at 8 a.m., the car cruise-in is at noon, the petting zoo is at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Garden Tractor Pull at 1 p.m., Starmakers Summer 2021 Show at 2 p.m., and the Falloween event closes at 6 p.m. ET Sunday. 

The Falloween Fest benefits student scholarships, school organizations, clubs, athletics, area church groups, and civic organizations.  To date, over $450,000 has been raised for student scholarships.
