Enrollment has gone up at Culver Community School Corporation.
Superintendent Karen Shuman shared preliminary information with the Culver School Board Monday night.
“We’re believed to be in the 790 number,” stated Shuman. “We are up 30 from 2019 and we are up 70-ish from the COVID year. If it really is the 790 number, there will be a lot more revenue coming into our Education Fund.”
Shuman noted that some students have not yet uploaded enrollment information to the state so that was not included in preliminary estimates from the Average Daily Membership count day.
Corporation Treasurer Casey Howard presented budget information to the school board members that reflected an estimated 728 students. An increase in enrollment will bring much needed student tuition to the school corporation for 2022.
