Twenty-Five New Cases Reported in Tri-County Area

Fifteen Marshall County residents, seven Starke County residents and three Pulaski County residents are among 2,721 new cases of COVID-19 in Friday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health. 

Another 12 people in the state have died of COVID-19. 

The number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 has risen by 115 since Monday.  Thursday’s census was at 1,433 patients on the Indiana Department of Health’s website. 

A total of 6,016,927 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Indiana. This includes 3,001,375 individuals who are fully vaccinated.  The number of fully vaccinated residents in Marshall County totals 16,751, or 43 percent.  There are 4,576 Pulaski County residents who are fully vaccinated, which makes up 42.9 percent of the population, and 6,825 residents, or 34.7 percent, of Starke County residents who are fully vaccinated.  The vaccine is free to residents 12 and older.  To find the nearest vaccination site, visit www.ourshot.in.gov or call 211.
