Thirty-Two New Cases of COVID-19 Reported Locally

Indiana is still seeing a high daily number of new COVID-19 cases. 

In Tuesday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health, 3,641 Hoosiers have been newly diagnosed with COVID-19, including 23 people in Marshall County, seven people in Starke County and two people in Pulaski County. 

Another 57 people in the state have died of COVID-19 from August 15 to August 23. 

COVID-19 testing is available at Community Hospital in Bremen, Lifeplex in Plymouth, Walgreens in Plymouth and Knox, Healthlinc in Knox, and Pulaski Memorial Hospital.  Appointments are preferred.  To make an appointment, visit www.coronavirus.in.gov.  

Vaccinations and free COVID-19 testing will be offered from noon to 8 p.m. CT today and Wednesday at the Rural King parking lot at 1460 W. State Road 2 in La Porte.   Other vaccination sites can be found by visiting www.ourshot.in.gov or by calling 211.   

Marshall County’s vaccination rate is at 44.3 percent, while Pulaski County’s rate is at 43.2 percent and Starke County’s rate is at 38.4 percent.  Statewide, 3,058,170 individuals are fully vaccinated.
