Another 20 Starke County residents have tested positive with COVID-19, according to Tuesday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health. There were 11 more people who tested positive in Marshall County and five more people in Pulaski County. They are all among 3,720 Hoosiers who have been diagnosed with COVID-19.
Another 69 people have died of COVID-19 between August 16 and August 30 for a total of 14,049 deaths since March 16, 2020.
The number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 continues to increase with 2,300 in Tuesday’s update.
An Indiana Department of Health Strike Team will be at the Lifeplex in Plymouth to conduct drive-thru COVID-19 testing and administer COVID-19 vaccinations today from noon to 8 p.m. ET. They will be offering the Binax rapid antigen and PCR tests. The Pfizer and Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) COVID-19 vaccines will be available to residents who choose to be vaccinated.
The COVID-19 vaccine is available at several locations throughout the state. To find the nearest site, visit www.ourshot.in.gov. The vaccination rate is up to 44.9 percent in Marshall County, 43.8 percent in Pulaski County and 38.9 percent in Starke County.
