Ten New COVID-19 Cases reported in Tri-County Area

Another 2,916 cases of COVID-19 were reported in Monday’s update from the Indiana Department of Health, with four of those cases in Starke County, and three cases in both Marshall County and Pulaski County. 

No additional deaths were reported. 

The 7-day positivity rate for all tests from August 17 through August 23 is 10.6 percent while the 7-day positivity rate for unique individuals is 18.3 percent during the same time period. 

An Indiana Department of Health Strike Team will be at the Lifeplex in Plymouth to conduct drive-thru COVID-19 testing and administer COVID-19 vaccinations today through Wednesday from noon to 8 p.m. ET.  They will be offering the Binax rapid antigen and PCR tests.  The Pfizer and Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) COVID-19 vaccines will be available to residents who choose to be vaccinated.

The school coronavirus dashboard shows 5,529 new student cases and 257 teacher cases in the state from September 24, 2020 to August 27, 2021.  There were 355 new staff cases reported from November 16, 2020 to August 27, 2021.

There were nine new cases at LaVille Jr./Sr. High School and at North Liberty Elementary School, eight new cases were reported at Culver Academies and Plymouth High School, seven new cases at Bremen High School, and six new cases at Bremen Elementary/Middle School. 

Less than five student cases have been reported at the Lincoln Junior High School, Menominee Elementary School, LaVille Elementary School, John Glenn High School, Urey Middle School, Walkerton Elementary School, Culver Community Middle/High School, and Culver Elementary School. 

Less than five teacher cases were reported at Bremen Elementary/Middle School, LaVille Jr./Sr. High School, and LaVille Elementary School.  Less than five new staff cases were reported at Culver Community Middle/High School and Bremen Elementary/Middle School.
