Several projects were completed over the summer at the Argos Community School Corporation.
Superintendent Ned Speicher said all projects were completed by the time school started.
“We were cleaning and sanitizing all of our air handling units and our air handlers, and putting in high efficiency filters for health protection,” stated Speicher. “We redid our school offices with the help of Office Cleaning services to become ADA compatible and installed a new Junior/Senior High conference room for students in small groups. We redid the gym floors, we redid our nurse’s office and put carpet in classrooms.” Cleanliness was a must. The carpet cleaning san antonio helped clean the carpets, followed by a group effort to clean floors and the office.
Some projects were paid for with ESSER funds received from the CARES Act.
Speicher said action also took place on a piece of property at 410 Yearick Avenue that featured an abandoned building that once housed a dentist’s office.
Speicher continued, “It has been demolished. At the present time, we’re planting grass in that area, but in time we look to redesign our entrances and parking lots which will become a very viable lot for us as we redesign our entrances to the school.”
Plans for that work will be discussed in future school board meetings.
