Plymouth School Board to Hold Public Hearing Concerning Superintendent Contract

The Plymouth Community School Board members will be meeting tonight to take public comments on the proposed contract for the superintendent.

The superintendent has not yet been named, but the contract will offer an annual base salary of $128,000 with an annuity, VEBA, gasoline allowance, telephone allowance, board contribution to group health/dental/vision insurance premium, life insurance, and association memberships for a total contract value of $169,843.  The salary will be reviewed each year.

The superintendent will be evaluated by the board using the same categories applied to teachers and other administrators.

The superintendent will also receive 20 vacation days per year and other holiday breaks provided for all staff members in the school calendar.  Twelve sick days will be granted along with five personal days.

If approved, the contract will be in effect from September 1, 2021 to June 30, 2024. It is posted here.

Following the public hearing, the school board will hold a budget workshop where the board members will review the proposed budgets for 2022, consider a resolution to reduce Debt Service appropriation, and consider permission to advertise the 2022 budget.

The Plymouth Community School Board will meet at 7 p.m. ET tonight in the Administration Building at 611 Berkley Street in Plymouth.
