Over 3,000 New Cases of COVID-19 in Indiana

Another 3,186 Hoosiers have tested positive with COVID-19, which includes 15 people in Marshall County, five people in Starke County and one person in Pulaski County according to Thursday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health. 

An additional six people have died of COVID-19 in the state between August 8 and August 11 for a new overall total of 13,686. 

A total number of 5,323 breakthrough cases have been recorded in Indiana with 185 hospitalizations and 69 breakthrough deaths.  Health officials say 94 percent of these deaths are residents over the age of 65.

A total of six million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Indiana while nearly three million Hoosiers are fully vaccinated.
