School buildings at the Culver Community School Corporation will undergo additional HVAC upgrades under the most current recommendations from the firm SitelogIQ.
Superintendent Karen Shuman said ESSER III Funds will be used for various updates at the Middle/High School and Elementary School.
Shuman commented, “We’ll be replacing air handling units at the Middle School/High School and adding twelve ionization units at the Middle School/High School. That is to help with reduction in any type of spread as necessary. At the Elementary School, we’re also replacing a rooftop unit and two air handling units and then putting the bipolar ionization in each classroom at the Elementary School along with three flow units.”
The school board unanimously approved the agreement to move forward with this particular project.
SitelogIQ will be doing the bid process and discuss it further with the school board soon. Company officials will also present information on potential paving projects and other potential future plans in terms of capital projects in an upcoming meeting. Shuman said the board can look into how they can fund those projects as they review that plan.
