The Indiana Department of Health announced Monday that 1,902 more people in the state have been diagnosed with COVID-19, including 14 people in Marshall County, two people in Starke County and two people in Pulaski County. Those numbers are from Sunday’s statistics.
The total number of positive COVID-19 cases in the state since March 6, 2020 is 803,403.
Over 1,400 patients are hospitalized in the state with COVID-19 symptoms. No new deaths were reported in the state on Sunday.
The 7-day positivity rate for all tests from August 3 to August 9 is 10.2 percent while the 7-day positivity rate for unique individuals from the same time period is 19.4 percent.
In the updated school dashboard on the Indiana Department of Health’s coronavirus website, 1,452 new student COVID-19 cases have been reported in the state along with 80 teacher cases and 118 new staff cases.
Locally, there are less than five new student COVID-19 cases at Knox High School and Winamac High School. There are less than five new staff cases at Knox High School and Winamac Community Middle School.
