Bremen School Board Receives Preliminary Enrollment Report

The Bremen School Board members were updated last week on what enrollment figures look like so far this school year.

Elementary/Middle School Principal Larry Yelaska said it is the first time the enrollment in kindergarten has gotten over 100 students.  He reported 114 students in kindergarten with the biggest group being eighth grade with 130 students.  The total enrollment at the Elementary/Middle School is 966.

High School Principal Bruce Jennings noted eight exchange students in this year’s senior class which increases the number of seniors to 152.  If that number holds through commencement, Jennings commented that it will be the largest senior class in the history of Bremen High School.

The official student count day will be in mid-September which determines funding for the school.
